Charles Atchinson exposed safety issues at the Comanche Park nuclear plant in Texas. He lost his job and faced severe financial hardship.

Kermit Vandivier revealed the B.F. Goodrich Aircraft Brakes scandal, was dismissed, and later became a journalist.

James Pope, working with the FAA, reported that a working collision avoidance system had been ignored. He was forced into early retirement.
