Job Overview
The People Advisory & Transformation Consultant is responsible for designing, driving, and implementing people-centric strategies that strengthen organizational performance, enhance culture, optimize workforce capabilities, and support end-to-end business transformation. The role requires deep expertise in strategy formulation, organizational development, workforce planning, leadership enablement, policy formulation, culture formulation, change management, and performance improvement. The Consultant partners with business leaders to diagnose organizational challenges, identify gaps, develop interventions, and execute solutions that improve structures, processes, culture, and people capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Organizational Development (OD)
- Lead organizational assessments to evaluate structure, operating models, people capabilities, and cultural alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Design adaptive organizational structures, role frameworks, governance models, and workforce strategies to support business growth and long-term sustainability.
- Facilitate strategy formulation sessions with leadership, translating business goals into actionable transformation roadmaps.
- Develop competency frameworks, role clarity matrices, job specifications, and organizational capability models.
- Conduct scenario planning and workforce risk analysis to anticipate talent gaps, structural inefficiencies, or misalignments.
2. Strategic Planning & Business Transformation
- Collaborate with leadership to create multi-year strategic plans covering people, culture, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives.
- Support large-scale business transformation projects including restructuring, digital transformation, M&A integration, and operating model redesign.
- Identify business improvement opportunities using gap analysis, SWOT, PESTLE, and organisational diagnostics.
- Translate transformation goals into project charters, milestones, KPIs, and change initiatives.
- Evaluate transformation outcomes and recommend course-correction strategies.
3. Culture Development & Leadership Enablement
- Assess current culture using culture diagnostic tools, surveys, focus groups, and behavioural analysis.
- Design and implement culture transformation frameworks to embed desired values, behaviours, and leadership mindsets.
- Develop leadership capability programs in areas such as emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, coaching, and people engagement.
- Train managers on cultural stewardship, team performance, change leadership, and communication.
- Support internal communications to reinforce culture and change messaging.
4. Workforce Management & Performance Optimization
- Build workforce planning models to forecast talent needs, skill demands, succession pipelines, and capability risks.
- Design and implement performance management frameworks including KPIs, OKRs, balanced scorecards, and evaluation tools.
- Facilitate performance calibration sessions and talent review meetings with senior leadership.
- Analyse workforce productivity metrics to recommend interventions on engagement, retention, role alignment, and process efficiency.
- Develop learning and development roadmaps to close skill gaps and strengthen organizational capability.
5. Change Management
- Lead end-to-end change management programs for people-related, technology, structural, or process transformations.
- Conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and readiness assessments.
- Develop and deliver change communication plans, training sessions, and adoption strategies.
- Provide coaching to leadership and key stakeholders on managing resistance and building acceptance.
- Track change progress, adoption rates, and behavioural shifts to ensure sustained transformation.
6. Gap Analysis, Problem Solving & Decision Support
- Conduct root cause analysis on people, culture, performance, and structural issues using data and diagnostic tools.
- Analyse business processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and misalignments.
- Develop solutions using design thinking, systems thinking, and evidence-based HR methodologies.
- Prepare strategic recommendations, business cases, and insights reports for leadership decision-making.
- Facilitate problem-solving workshops and cross-functional alignment sessions.
7. Advisory, Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives on people, culture, workforce, and transformation matters.
- Prepare board-level presentations, dashboards, strategy reports, and transformation updates.
- Maintain strong relationships with business units to understand priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
- Ensure all advisory recommendations are aligned with business strategy, industry trends, and regulatory expectations.
8. Compensation & Benefits
- Provide guidance on salary structures, benefits programs, and reward policies.
- Conduct market bench marking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation.
- Support the design of pay grades, incentives, and performance-linked rewards.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal equity standards.
- Advise leadership on compensation strategies that drive performance and retention.
9. Client Management
- Manage client relationships, ensuring expectations, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Conduct client discovery sessions to understand needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Provide continuous advisory support and maintain strong stakeholder engagement throughout projects.
10. Proposal Drafting & Presentations
- Prepare high-quality proposals, concept notes, and advisory documents for new and existing clients.
- Develop clear, compelling presentations, reports, and strategy decks for clients and senior leadership and boards.
- Present findings, recommendations, and transformation roadmaps in professional and engaging formats.
11. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead project teams, manage analysts, interns, and coordinate internal resources for seamless delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and support capability development in OD, strategy, and transformation.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Master’s degree, MBA, is required.
- Certification in Human Resources (CIPM, PHRI, SHRM, CIPD), OD, Change Management, Strategy, or Business Transformation is an advantage.
- 5–7 years’ experience in Consulting, People Advisory, OD, Strategy, or Transformation roles.
- Experience facilitating leadership workshops, strategic retreats, and organizational diagnostics.
