Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking a Civil Engineer who will be responsible for supervising, and managing construction projects from conception to completion. The role involves ensuring all structures and infrastructure projects are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and delivered within agreed timelines. The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
● Design and develop project plans, blueprints, and structural layouts.
● Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact evaluations.
● Prepare, review, and modify structural and civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
● Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and preliminary design assessments.
● Develop detailed project plans, cost estimates, and resource requirements.
● Ensure designs comply with local regulations, industry standards, environmental requirements, and safety guidelines.
● Oversee and monitor daily construction activities to ensure adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.
● Coordinate with contractors, architects, surveyors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
● Conduct site inspections, measurements, and material tests as required.
● Identify and resolve technical and engineering challenges on-site.
● Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation for management and clients.
● Track project timelines, budgets, and material usage to ensure effective project delivery.
● Support procurement teams with material specifications and vendor evaluation.
● Participate in project meetings and provide expert technical advice.
● Ensure projects comply with relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
● Implement quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) activities.
● Enforce environmental and health & safety requirements on-site.
Qualifications & Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
● Professional certification or registration (e.g., COREN) is an advantage.
● 3-7 of proven experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
● Proficiency in engineering design software and project management tools.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Strong knowledge of structural analysis, geo technical principles, and construction methodologies.
● Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. ● Strong understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
